Travis Batts, MD, FACC
With nearly two decades in the medical field, Dr. Travis Batts stands at the forefront of cardiovascular health and lifestyle medicine. As a board-certfied cardiologist, he specializes in cardiovascular disease prevention, nutrition, fitness optimization and advanced cardiac imaging. His unique and holistic approach to cardiac health is rooted in his educational background: a biochemistry degree from the University of Kansas, where he excelled not just academically but also as an NCAA Division 1 track and field athlete. His passion for medicine took him to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to obtain his M.D., culminating in specialized training at the esteemed Wilford Hall Ambulatory Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Batts currently dons multiple hats. He currently serves as chief of cardiology. His service to healthcare is reflected in his role as both a master clinician, not limiting his academic pursuits as an assistant professor at both the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences and Texas A&M University College of Medicine. An acknowledged leader in his field, Dr. Batts is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and an active member of its National Nutrition Working Group.
