Nicole Sondermann, NBC-HWC, CCSH, RPSGT, is the founder of Sleep Health Coach and has been an advocate for sleep health education since 2009. Board certified as a registered polysomnographic technologist (RPSGT) with an advanced certification in clinical sleep health (CCSH), and a nationally board-certified health and wellness coach (NBC-HWC), Nicole provides direct patient care and clinical treatment support to patients with sleep disordered breathing, performs sleep studies to measure patients' sleep physiology, and promotes sleep health education through community outreach programs and corporate training events.
Serving as an advisor on the Community Leadership Council (CLC) of the Alliance of Sleep Apnea Partners (ASAP), co-founder of Sleep Tampa Bay and founder of All About Sleep.org, Nicole provides information, education and support on sleep-related disorders, treatment options, and resources. As a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), American Academy of Sleep Technologists (AAST), and board member of Florida Association of Sleep Technologists (FAST), Nicole is a trusted resource for current sleep-related information, advancements in sleep research and sleep health medicine, and is an enthusiastic liaison to the public.
Being passionate and well-versed in the science and psychology of sleep, Nicole’s approach to sleep health education and coaching combines practical, clinical and personal experiences. Providing sleep and wakefulness education to optimize health through quality sleep and implementing relaxation and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques are intricate components of the sleep coaching methodology. Personal and professional experience working shift work in sleep medicine are foundational to Nicole’s passion and interests in women and sleep, shiftworker sleep health, and making sleep health a priority in the workplace.
