Lacey Muinos
Lacey Muinos is an experienced writer living in Southern California. She always knew she wanted to be a professional writer, so pursuing an English degree at a California State University was only natural for her. There, she honed her research and writing skills while also studying journalism.
Lacey graduated from college early and immediately launched a career in digital publishing and content writing — with a health twist. She held the position of content manager at a local skin care company, where she learned the basics of skin health. Lacey collaborated with the company founders to launch two skin care blogs, weekly newsletters and other educational materials.
With her background in skin care, Lacey went on to specialize in writing about skin health, conditions and treatments. She’s interviewed dozens of board-certified dermatologists on a variety of topics, deepening her own knowledge while helping others to better understand their skin.
Lacey also researches and writes about general health conditions. She’s extensively covered women’s health topics, including periods, fertility, pregnancy and conditions that uniquely affect women. To handle health reporting with care and accuracy, she interviews credible experts and wades through the growing body of medical literature to make sure the information is factual.
In addition to teaming up with HealthyWomen, Lacey has written evidence-based health content for Healthline, Everyday Health, LIVESTRONG.com, Business Insider, Verywell Health and others.
