Andrea Useem, BSN, RN, CCRN, MTS

Andrea is a second-career nurse and recent grad, currently working as a staff nurse at Virginia Hospital Center's medical-surgical Intensive Care Unit. A graduate of Harvard Divinity School, and co-chair of the hospital's Ethics Committee and teaches second-degree BSN students at George Washington University School of Nursing. Previously, she worked as a journalist for almost 20 years, first as a foreign correspondent in East Africa and later as an editor for The Washington Post.
