Q: Who is at risk for Alzheimer's disease?

A:

Alzheimer's disease usually begins in people 65 or older, but in rare instances it can affect individuals as young as 30. Your risk increases with age; an estimated one in eight people over 65 have Alzheimer's disease, and nearly half of people age 85 and older have the disease.
